Data held

We only hold personal contact information that has been provided to us by students, parents, or business contacts.

What we do with your data

Contact information is held for rescheduling, register keeping, and communicating information relevant to lessons and queries you have raised.

• Our accountant has no access to your details other than the name of the person on the standing order shown on our bank statement, and the amount and date they pay. They are also GDPR compliant.
• Some information will be shared with the examination board if you wish to take exams, always with your permission.
• No data will be shared unless there is a legal obligation to do so.
• All reasonable steps are taken to protect your data — documents and records are password protected, thumbprint protected, or locked in a filing cabinet.
• We do not sell your data or use it for digital marketing.
• We do not have your bank details, as we only use Standing Orders.

Individual rights to data held

If you wish to change or delete the information we hold about you, or if you have any concerns about the data held, please contact us directly.

Reporting a breach of rights or security

If you believe your data or security has been breached, please contact Dan Jones Guitar School immediately. You have additional rights regarding the data stored about you — you can read them on the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) website.
