Guitar for beginners

Everyone at sometime or another dreams of playing the guitar, hoping to play a few songs. Working with Dan

WORKING WITH DAN

Dan is a guitarist with over 30 years of experience both playing live in bands and recording music which is available through iTunes and retail outlets.

He has been teaching for 14 years both privately and for the local authority music service and has a 100% pass rate in exams.  With experience of teaching children and adults both in small groups and one to one, Dan can help you whatever your age or ability.

Dan is passionate about communicating in a simple way and will always adjust his teaching method for each student. With a comprehensive understanding of guitar techniques and music theory from Rock, Blues, Metal, Jazz and Folk, Dan is able to offer his students a well rounded program of learning. Combine this with the world famous Rockschool Grade system and you can be sure that your education will be second to none.

About Dan

ABOUT DAN

Dan has been playing guitar for 30 years and has played or taught professionally for most of his career. He also records and produces music with other musicians including his bands The Dreaming Tree and Animate The Monster, and the female fronted function band The Indigo Machine. He has been featured in the national music press such as Classic Rock to Powerplay and the Classic Rock Society. The Dreaming Tree saw their album "Progress Has No Patience" voted in the top 20 albums of 2010 in Classic Rock Presents Prog. 

Dan’s guitar style has been likened to Dave Gilmore, Jimmy Page, and Steve Hacket and he has a keen interest in all styles of guitar, ranging from Folk to Rock, to Jazz and Blues.
